Please read every night for 20 minutes with your child. This is one of the most important things you can help your child with, by listening to them read.
Our spelling words this week are: Vocab: forest: a large piece of land covered with trees and bushes. deciduous forests: dominated by trees that lose their leaves each year. coniferous forests: dominated by evergreen trees, conifer trees keep their needle-like leaves all year. rainforest - tall, broad-leafed trees that grow close together. In writing, we are identifying author’s purpose, and finding facts to substantiate. In math this week we are finishing up our addition facts, and will be starting into subtraction of large numbers. In science we are learning about the earth’s many biome systems, and doing research for our animal projects. Upcoming events: September 26-27th: Student-led Conferences, 4-8 PM.
